The roots of organized Ayurveda in British Columbia can be traced back to the early practitioners who brought authentic traditional knowledge to the Pacific Northwest, establishing the foundation for what would become a thriving community of healers and educators.

Educational Development

The establishment of formal Ayurvedic education programs in BC marked a turning point, with the Ayurveda College of BC becoming a cornerstone institution for comprehensive traditional training adapted to North American healthcare contexts.

Association Formation

The Ayurveda Association of British Columbia was formed to create a unified voice for practitioners, establish professional standards, and provide ongoing support for the growing community of Ayurvedic professionals throughout the province.

Official Incorporation

The Ayurveda Association of British Columbia was officially incorporated under the Societies Act as a nonprofit organization on August 28, 2025, establishing our formal legal foundation to serve the Ayurvedic community throughout British Columbia.
